Orientation Flights

The Civil Air Patrol gives cadets the opportunity to experience the wonder of flight using the largest fleet of Cessna aircraft in the world.
Cadet Orientation flights are among the most exciting aspects of cadet life. Cadets are offered 5 funded flights before the age of 18.
ACE Basin cadets have flown from airports all over the region.

Upon arrival for your flight, you meet your pilot who has been specifically signed off for these types of flights by CAP.
You will take a short "class" where he or she will teach you some of the ground school elements of flight.

You will take off from the airport with your pilot and fly for about an hour.
You will return, land, head home and be newly inspired to earn that next promotion. (Well..., that's our hope anyway!!!!)
Oh, and this is a GREAT time to take a selfie. You can allow your pilot to take a photo with your phone of you FLYING the plane, and get some great landscape shots of our beautiful world!!
You might even get a selfie with Fort Sumpter.
